Tim Commerford, the bassist, was introduced to the bass by Zack, and soon became a master at the funky style in which he plays. Tim's father is an aeronautics/space engineer, and his mom was a mathematician until she developed brain cancer. This disease made family life difficult, and Tim expressed his feelings through poetry, art, and music. Tim has a strong hatred for police, because of the misuse of power and brutality they often display. Tim also told the LA times that he would change his name on each Rage album, and has stuck to his promise. So far, it has been Timmy C. (on the first album,) Tim Bob (on Evil Empire,) and y.Tim.k (on The Battle Of Los Angeles.)
